Day 43

The critique on Thursday was helpful, in the way that in explaining my process to others, I understood it a little better myself. There were some helpful pointers, some not so much and some comments that are making me think. Which is how a good critique is supposed to go, yes? Kaname liked the paper clay mesh. So I shall attempt to make another and integrate it into the piece. More glaze testing this week, because finding a rusty/ peeling black paint glaze is harder than it sounds. I love science!

Day 37

The zoo animal illustrator Charlotte Belland had our 1st year MFA class make video artist statements. I do not like being on camera but have a love for animation and Sigur Rós. So, with fragmented sentences and one spelling error (on purpose, see if you can find it) all typed out on paper clay, here is my artist statement for the semester. Ta-da. And thank you to Nevin for his help.
