Day 430

I had a good talk with my mentor, Charlotte, today. Prepping for my progress review tomorrow. Dun dun duuuuun. Haha. And I have been doing research into humor. And I’ve been making things. And I’ve been animating, which is what you like to see on here anyway. You don’t follow me to read my blethering.  I know and it’s ok. I’m also going to go see and possibly participate in an iron pour at OWU today.  Yay, stuff!

Day 257

It’s now official: We’re second years. Scary thought. Now we’re going to be the wise ones, the ones who give advice, who know what they are doing. Hahahahaha! It’s been an incredibly long and tiring year, but I’ve learned a crazy amount. My brain needs a break. So I’ll document stuff today, sleep-in tomorrow and then go start my assistantship with Elizabeth Fergus-Jean. I’m stoked about that. Making things!
And I’m going to keep going with the animations. We’ll see where it takes me. Could be awesome. Could be a complete disaster. I’m going to make things for a little while without thinking about it and just work.
It’s raining. Makes me want to sit in my barber’s chair and make more functional cubes. Or play video games. I’m not sure which 🙂

Day 184

This is what I’ve been doing for my animation class. I’m still learning dragonframe and this is the first time I’ve added in audio. It’s a work in progress. I want to make more of these. But I will stick with 3D. Don’t worry, I haven’t gone off the deep end, but I have been corrupted. HAHAHA!

And a quote of the day: “I should be on medication, I’m sure.”

Day 175

This is the beginnings of the stop-motion animation for my experimental animation class. I’m having fun. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten to use scissors on a project. Hahaha. I’m obviously not finished with this, but at least it’s a start. Someday, if I’m still animating, which I hope to be, I would love to get a better camera. One that has live-view would make everything just a little easier. Oh well. Enjoy.

Day 156

We had a snow day yesterday. I’m not really surprised since it was a high of 4 with a windchill of -20 or something like that. And that was just in Columbus. It was colder at my house. What did I do with my extra free time? Tried to stay warm. Darn drafty old house. And I read about geometric abstraction. And I tried to animate with drawing on post-its. Which determined that I definitely like working with stop motion more than illustration. Now to upgrade my computer…
